Reasons to support us
- Investing in early childhood is an effective strategy to achieve economic growth, according to Nobel Prize-winning economist James Heckman;
- According to PNAD data, the number of children ages 6 to 7 who can’t read or write increased by 66.3% from 2019 to 2021 in Brazil;
- Research has also shown an increase in inequality. Among underprivileged children, the percentage of those who can’t read or write increased from 33.6% to 51%. The number is 3x higher than that of wealthy children.
